Austin Street Art: 1.

Everywhere you go in Austin, you'll see signs that this an artsy-fartsy town. There are murals and posters plastered everywhere! This is one of my favorites:
It's located downtown at 6th + Congress on the side of the Mexic-Arte Museum. I think the mural would be an awesome spot for couple/wedding photos!
The museum has a great store, which is free to browse in, and if you'd like to go back and look at the art it's only $5.00/adult, $4.00/senior/student and $1.00/children under 12.

Thrifty Austin update.

So, I've only blogged twice since I started this blog, shame on me! I have an excellent excuse though, I've opened another Etsy shop selling Vintage action figures from Star Wars, He-Man, Beetlejuice & Ninja Turtles:

Now that we're up and rolling I'll be blogging again!

Crocheted Swiffer Cover

With two dogs, a two-year-old, my husband, me and my constantly cooking, our floors get dirty QUICK!
I got tired of buying disposable Swiffer pads, so I decided to crochet a few.
Here's the pattern I used:

Reversible Swiffer Sock Pattern

I just used some acrylic yarn from my stash, so I didn't have to spend a dime! Just throw them in the wash and reuse!
