Family Thrift Center
The Family Thrift Center is located in the shopping center diagonally across the street from the HEB at Oltorf and SoCo. It is the closest(and largest) Thrift store near my house, so I figured I'd do my first post on this one.
As far as household items go, there are few but with an occasional good find, like the old Austin Energy Plant snow globe I found there once. This store is all about the clothes, baby!
They have a ridiculous amount of clothes(almost too much) and they are packed in there REALLY tight. But they are sorted by color though so it's helpful if you're looking for something in a specific color. Prices are lower than other thrift stores in town and they've got jeans galore! The prices all vary by each individual item and they are all handwritten the way a doctor would handwrite a prescription.
Overall, a great thrift store if your looking for cheap clothes, but be prepared to spend some time here digging.
Oh yeah, they've also got a great selection of Halloween costumes right now!
